LIVE: Bayern Munich v Chelsea - all the action from Prague as old foes Mourinho and Guardiola battle it out in the Super Cup

chelsea
Follow Sportsmail's live coverage of the UEFA Super Cup as Bayern Munich and Chelsea go head to head in football's glitterati fixture.
The Champions League and Europa League winners gather at the Eden Arena, Prague, where Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola will renew their old rivalry.
It is a dugout reconstruction of the Barcelona v Real Madrid El Clasico but more importantly it is a chance for both managers to get their hands on some early silverware.
Bayern are hoping to add to their Bundesliga, German Cup and Champions League treble of last season while Chelsea are hoping to pick up their first trophy since Mourinho's return to Stamford Bridge.

Time for Mourinho to send on some fresh legs.
Torres will be feeling better after this run out, scoring an excellent opening goal.
21:52
95min: It's time for Chelsea to shut up shop again.
They're going to sink all their men behind the ball and absorb the Bayern pressure, much like they did earlier in the game.

21:47

21:39
That's it - we're going to extra time

Chelsea players appeal on deaf ears.
Seeing red: Chelsea's Ashley Cole appeals the red card for team-mate Ramires

Can Chelsea stay solid and keep the Germans at bay?
Yellow haze: The rival managers take up position
20:44
Half time thoughts?
Thanks for your emails so far, generally tipping Bayern for the win (I'm not so sure.)
Is a Ribery goal inevitable? Will Torres score a second? Are Mata's Chelsea days over as he watches from the bench?

Half time - no extra time

It could be the last chance he gets to run out in a Chelsea shirt with teh transfer window approaching on Monday..

20:28
41min: Cahill booked
The centre half rises for the ball but sticks his elbow into the attacker's back.
It's a 50/50 and it's a cheap booking for the international.

Robben curls in a cross from the right but i's too far and Chelsea win a goal kick.

Again it's Ribery who channels the effort on goal but again his shot is off target.
He's getting in all the right positions but the finish isn't quite there (yet).
20:19
31min: Chance Torres!
This is the Spaniard's best 30 minutes of the season.
It's good link-up play with Schurrle once again who turns his man in a tight are before prodding a pass through to the striker.
Torres hits his shot with venom and it's palmed over the bar.
20:17
29min: Ribery sends an effort just wide of the Chelsea goal.

The German side play the ball across the back four and patiently build up their attack.
The ball weaves its way through the midfield and eventually finds Ribery in a dangerous position on the edge of the area.
He curls his shot into the bottom right corner and Cech tips it wide.
20:07
18min: The match is being played to the beat of a base drum in the stands.
It's all part of the gun and the atmosphere already seems far better than the caviar-fueled fixtures at the Stade Louis.
Special One: Mourinho prowls his technical area
20:04
15min: Swings and roundabouts as Chelsea move play down field once more and win a corner.
But again Bayern play possession football and Robben pulls a dangerous ball across goal which is dealt with by Luiz.
20:02
10min: Bayern hit back quickly with a couple more attacks.
Chelsea's goal came largely against the run of play. there's no chance the Blues will switch off now, the Germans are just as up for this one.

19:55
8min: GOAL TORRES! BAYERN 0-1 CHELSEA
What a goal from Torres and what a way to mark his return to the side.

Boateng sends in a long diagonal ball from the right-hand side but the danger is over as Mandzukic heads wide.

19:47
And we're off
Bayern get the game underway

19:45
The teams are coming out...
...And there's a lot of fanfare on show.
Children running round with flags, drums banging and all that jazz.
Frank Lampard leads his team out carrying a trophy, which is rather bizarre.

19:38
Which fans create the best atmosphere?
The Champions League final between Dortmund and Bayern Munich at Wembley in May made for one of the best atmospheres the stadium has ever seen.
German supporters seem to be making most of the noise in Prague tonight.
Are they the best supporters in football?
Cranking it up: A Bayern supporter shouts on the stands before kick off
All together: Bayern fans creating a good atmosphere in the Eden Arena

19:30
Too much talk about the managers? Guardiola thinks so...
With all the Mourinho v Guardiola preamble, the Bayern coach wants the focus shifted from the managers to the players.
He said in one of his pre-match press conferences: 'We're here for the players, not the coaches.
'Millions of people around the world will watch the game, not the coaches.'
But before we talk about the players, lets have a quick look at the Guardiola v Mourinho stats:
Meetings: 15
Guardiola wins: 7
Mourinho wins: 3
Draws: 5
Ready to rock: Bayern Munich's Dutch midfielder Arjen Robben listens to music as he walks on the pitch

19:26
Ticket, anyone?
Prague's Eden Arena, which is hosting the competition for the first time, has a capacity of just 21,000.
The contest was previously held at the Stade Louis II Stadium in Monaco.
Spares please! A fan looking for a ticket outside the Eden Stadium in Prague

19:20
Can Frank Lampard make it four in four?
Frank Lampard has scored three goals in three appearances against Bayern, who have won 18 of their last 21 games in all competitions.
Willian is not in the Chelsea squad after his £32million move so will have to wait until after the international break to make his debut. Chelsea's next fixture is an away trip to Everton on September 14.
Super Frank: The veteran midfielder has been named in Chelsea's starting XI

19:13
TORRES STARTS. MATA BENCHED. BA LEFT OUT.
We can expect a more attacking Chelsea tonight than the side which faced Manchester United on Monday.
For starters, the Blues have picked a striker (yes, we know it's only Fernando Torres) and De Bruyne drops out of the XI.
Mata is again named on the bench and that will only fuel more speculation about his future at Stamford Bridge.
Ba's Chelsea future looks even more bleak as the striker is again overlooked entirely by Mourinho.
Back in the picture: Fernando Torres will lead the Chelsea attack tonight

There's nothing quite like catching up with old friends
No match does theatre as well as El Clasico.
Guardiola was Barcelona manager between 2008 and 2012 while Mourinho was Real Madrid manager between 2010 and 2013.
The pair have had their fair share of dugout battles and, in 2011, Guardiola said of Mourinho: 'In this room [the press room], he is the chief, the ******* man. In here he is the ******* man and I can't compete with him. If Barcelona want someone who competes with that, then they should look for another manager.'
It wasn't quite as one-sided as Guardiola made out, the Spaniard actually has the better record between the two.

Time for a European tour
The Super Cup is embarking on a European tour. Since 1998 the competition has been played in Monaco, allowing a plush weekend for football's bourgeoisie, but ticket sales have been poor.
Crowd levels have failed to break the 18,500 mark since 1997 so UEFA have decided to take the fixture around some of Europe's lesser-known football cities.
After this year's match in Prague, we move to Cardiff and then onto Tbilisi, Georgia in 2015.
Boys on tour: Chelsea fans gather in Prague's Old Town Square ahead of kick off

18:48
