Paddy Power become Arsenal's betting partner... months after bookmakers' billboard claiming ex-Gunner Arshavin should be cleaning toilets

Arsenal have announced their official partnership with Paddy Power, despite the club bearing the brunt of one of the betting company’s mischievous advertising campaigns in the past.
Paddy Power posted a cheeky billboard outside the Emirates Stadium taking a pop at former Arsenal striker Andrey Arshavin.
The Irish betting company's advert, which appeared in February, suggested Arshavin should be cleaning the toilets in block D at the Emirates.

‘ANDREI. We’ve got somewhere you can put in a shift in… Block D toilets. What’s Russian for plunger?,’ the billboard read.
Arsenal were reportedly unhappy about the billboard at the time, but have put any animosity behind them by announcing the agreement with Paddy Power as their official betting partner.
A statement on the club website said: ‘Arsenal Football Club has welcomed Paddy Power as its Official Betting Partner in the UK, Ireland and Italy.
‘The Irish betting company has signed a three-year agreement with the Gunners which sees them return to the Club following a successful partnership in previous seasons.

‘Paddy Power will expand its online offering to customers and Arsenal supporters through a combination of industry-leading offers and exclusive bets around key fixtures throughout the season.’
Arsenal are not the first club to have been left red-faced by Paddy Power. A similar billboard was posted outside the West Stand at Stamford Bridge, suggesting Chelsea striker Fernando Torres should be working in a burger van.
More recently, another one was pasted outside Arsenal, this time targeting Liverpool forward Luis Suarez. It read: ‘Biting, diving, CHEATING. Keep it up Luis!’
